A place packed with sky scrappers towering above the limited land spaces that has a priced closely to "gold". It is indeed very costly to buy land in HK. Land is scarcely available and every inch of land is carefully planned for the development of this island. Imagine, even petrol stations are located in shops....<br /><br />Houses are mostly located high up in the sky stacked in densely packed condos.. Christians from 4 different locations across Malaysia gather together in one name....as God's people, Christians, Brothers and sisters in Christ.. The participating churches were, Daya Gospel Centre ( DAGC), Melacca Gospel Hall ( MGC), Shah Alam Gospel Centre and last bt not least Johor Bahru Gospel Centre (JBGC) which we represented. An atmosphere of friendliness and joy filled the air as we started getting 2 know each other.. =) 2 bd my name tag displayed Yeh Han ... instead of da preferred Ivan Lee...( Got tht fixed on da 2nd day with marker pens) =)<br /><br />After a speedy check in we headed off to the main hall for a short briefing haha.. Uncle Dexter in all his vibrance made us laugh our socks off..( Nt tht we were wearing any) Da scorching heat failed in its conquest to dampen our over-energetic spirits. Amazing race was cool 2 da max... we had so many interesting tasks ... like building sand castles, finding marbles thru flour, transporting water through .. guess.....( our mouths) Joel wasted no tyme in taking off his T shirt and squeezing water 2 quicken da process of filling up the hole surfaced bottle... =) At night is the quiz we hav all been anticipating... DMSJ Bible Quiz 2009.... as we all know... in evry comp.... there can only be one victor,.... DAGC.... after nail-bitting fight to the very end gained victory and was crowned DMSJ 2009 champs....<br /><br />AIKS!!! looks like i am writing 2 much....<br /><br /><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 51);">SUN 31/05/09</span><br />After the baptism service by the sea, we had the breaking of bread service.... it was then followed by the photo session..( very efficiently carried out), and Tune in workshops . 3 diff workshops were offered...( "CSI", "Are you smarter than a fifth grader" and "Discovery")<br />"CSI" was a detailed study on the book of Philemon.<br />"......fifth grader" - brief outline of the bible.<br />"Discovery"- The 1 i chose was about 7 solid reasons why the bible is truth.. nothing but the truth... Ate breakfast at Maxim .... da Dim sum ther is the finest of its class...(for me) though the environment and the premise did not really offer much.<br /><br />Then my dad dropped Nick and I off at Metro Point...We were early.. so we decided to drop by the arcade( which in modern terms is da place to burn money) After a few We had a bowlin marathon... after 5 games... we decided tht it was best for our pockets and wallets that we stop burning holes in them.. a glance at my hp showed me it was time for lunch. We then went scouting around for some chow. Nick succeeded in persuading me 2 hav pizza for lunch. I didn't want to spend so much on my stomach at first, but after giving much thought to it i humbly conceded the battle of Pizza vs Kfc..<br /><br />Rm 18 ... per person...<br /><br />thts the amount of money that left my already light wallet =).. sigh..<br /><br />lolz.. Gotta thank God 4 journey mercies and protection for me, my fam and of course all da other campers... 1st day was real light.. afta gettin sum briefing from Jansen we gt used 2 our dorms ( fully aircond).... lolz real comfy actually. Got a whole 2 beds 2 myself tiz tyme( coz we din hav our usual num of campers)..Then we had our daily Gospel meeting ( its a real privilege gettin 2 listen to Dan Coulsen, Phil's bro). Being da onli camper from KGC.. i had 2 b break da ice fast n gt to knoe them quickly...
